The first Factory HQ was an apartment inside this building on Manchester's Palatine Road. Thanks to Frank for pointing out that in the picture of the old Factory offices at 86 Palatine Road, the actual office (as seen in the top image) was on the first floor, on the left. The name of the road was later used as the title of the box set 'Palatine' Fact 400. Factory later moved into more luxurious (and costly) premises at One Charles Street in Manchester. They bought the building quite cheaply but spent about £600,000 renovating and redesigning it. Legendarily, the boardroom table alone cost a reputed £30,000 - and the Happy Mondays broke it!
