The Coronet Theatre With the Get Loaded in the Dark Easter Thursday extravaganza just around the corner, we have more exclusives to throw your way. When Black Grape hit The Coronet this week, it's not just going to be a celebration of the bands first live show since 1997. Shaun Ryder intends to pair their exclusive gig with his marriage celebration as he invites half of Manchester to London for his post wedding stag night! To help celebrate, Black Grape are set to perform some of the best Happy Mondays tracks of the past and have a good old knees up like never before! "It's my first time playing back in London for ages. The last time we did a big London show was Get Loaded in the Park in 2005 on Clapham Common and it's great to be back where the Get Loaded shows all began, back in the club environment. This is the first Black Grape show in a long while too, over a decade since we last did it, and the rehearsals are going really well. It's kind of a double celebration tonight as you know I got married a few weeks ago but with one thing and another never got round to the stag, so this is going to be the post stag night. Half of Manchester is coming down for it so it's going to be a memorable night. We will be playing some Happy Mondays stuff too of course and it's an all nighter so itŐs going to be a bit of a rave up afterwards. I've never played at The Coronet before but heard great things about the space. Bit of a mosh pit down the frontÉ just the way we like it." Shaun Ryder -- |
