TracklistingAtmosphere CreditsArt direction: Peter Saville - - A new video directed by Anton Corbijn was made to accompany the reissue of Atmosphere. Some people criticised it for glamourising the death of Ian Curtis as it featured a lot of small kids dressed in Jawa-like black and white robes carrying huge oversize photos of Ian Curtis around amongst sand dunes. However, apparently the surviving members of Joy Division (i.e. New Order) are said to really like it. Clips of the video appear in the Fac 211 Wired Documentary. In November 2010, the Teen Beat record label created a small stir by seemingly alleging that Peter Saville had ripped off their work for the band +/- (Plus Minus). However, it all turned out to be a hoax. |
