A proper box set contained in a museum-type archival box. All original typography and artwork have been removed from the album sleeves (including the spines). The sleeves themselves are matches for the original paper specs of the Factory first editions (black textured for Unknown Pleasures, slight "suede" for Closer, and "hessian" cloth [and ribbon] for Still, rounded corner inner sleeves for all). All typographical information has been removed from the record labels. Just the hairlines, rules and boxes that surrounded the original typography remain. There is no info or art of any kind on the cloth box either. All info & credits have been moved to a single large 12x12 matte black card sheet, with all info embossed in small type in gloss black. Design is credited to Peter Saville, Daniel Mason, Howard Wakefield. Insert card states that this is an edition of 3000. According to insert card info this release is titled "JOY DIVISION In Memory". According to the Rhino website it is titled "Box Set". The only external info/bar-coding is on the sticker applied to the shrinkwrap, with this (as it turns out) rather enigmatic statement: "ALL IN ORIGINAL ARTWORK". - - Thanks to OMNY for photography and info. |
