Review

The mighty Section 25 came out of retirement with all guns blazing on Friday night in Poulton. This, their first gig in 19 years, was a warm-up gig at Over The Edge, a small to medium-sized club right in the band's back yard. The four piece line-up of Larry Cassidy (vocals, bass), Vin Cassidy (drums), Ian Butterworth (guitar) and Roger Wikely (guitar, keyboards) took to the stage shortly after 10.30pm before an eager and enthusiastic crowd. The band played a set of mainly early material with a couple of covers of The Ramones and Joy Division.

Earlier, Kevin Hewick played an amazing set on solo acoustic guitar and regaled us of his time in the Swedish Territorial Army. Tracks played included a medley of Bad Samantha, Ophelia's Drinking Song and Haystack.
